Lisa comes from a prominent German family. Educated at a private school near the Swiss border, she soon realized that a career in politics or the corporate world did not align with her values. Breaking with tradition, she left the private school and began volunteering at homeless shelters.

Her pivotal moment came as a young adult when she bore witness to a fatal collision between a cyclist and a truck. Shockingly, the funeral director refused the grieving family's plea to return the victim's wedding ring, claiming there was nothing he could do. This tragedy profoundly influenced her trajectory. Although initially pursuing a career as a paramedic, the funeral director's callous words lingered in her mind. Driven by a desire to enact positive change, she embarked on a journey of transformation. She sought out a mentor willing to impart the art of embalming and caring for the deceased.

Following her attendance at a lecture delivered by Dr. Gunther von Hagens, the founder of the Institute for Plastination and the visionary behind Body Worlds, she became resolute in her pursuit of further knowledge.

Lisa underwent rigorous training across Europe, delving into internships with trauma surgeons to deepen her understanding of anatomy. Additionally, she apprenticed with a plastic surgeon, honing her skills in reconstructive techniques for the human body. Moreover, she expanded her expertise in "medical makeup," a specialized field aimed at assisting patients in concealing life-altering injuries such as burn scars.
During her career, she has arranged and conducted several high-profile funerals across Europe. She has also appeared on numerous TV programs in response to mass casualties and disasters. In addition, she provided free training to funeral personnel and assisted businesses in their development.

Apart from her professional endeavors, she pursued studies in criminology and forensic psychology, alongside completing training programs in crime scene investigation.

Donation-based funeral concept

Motivated by her belief that everyone deserves a proper funeral, Lisa initiated a donation-based funeral concept to assist families in need. She advocated for funeral homes to adopt a more compassionate approach to both funerals and their associated costs. In a donation-based funeral concept, clients receive an invoice detailing the fixed costs of the funeral, such as the coffin and cemetery fees, and costs for bearers, but excluding charges for the funeral director's services. Families have the option to contribute additional funds if they wish. These extra payments are then used to support families who cannot cover funeral expenses for their loved ones. This approach enables families who have lost a loved one to assist another family in saying goodbye to their loved one.

Lisa has gained recognition in both national and international media, notably during the trial of Alex Murdaugh. As a dedicated advocate for victims and social justice, she ensures that everyone's voice is heard. She frequently collaborates with content creators to simplify complex topics, such as autopsy reports, making them accessible and easy to understand. Journalists covering major trials in the international press often seek her opinion.
